SUMMARY:CSR Conclave
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcoming you to the Strategic CSR Conclave 2018. The event is going to take place at sun-rising city Visakhapatnam and the venue is at hotel Novotel. Ever since the legislature of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) mandated in India from 1st April\, 2014 the term CSR has become more popular among not only Indian industry but also in Civil Society organizations and other stakeholders in the country. No doubt that the journey of CSR is in rapid shift by changing the definition of popular American economist Dr Milton Friedman “the business of business is business” to “the business of business is inclusive growth”. \nWhile the district of Visakhapatnam and neighbouring zone is having very large industrial belt in function and having greater potential for expansion and attracting new businesses\, yet the corporate houses are not fine-tuned with CSR execution. Other than few PSUs who have aligned CSR agenda in their mission of business operations still there are more companies who fall in the ambit of CSR mandate have to integrate CSR into their core business of operations. On the other hand\, the NGOs who are responsible for delivering CSR services as Implementing Agencies (IA) on the ground are in state of not reachable by corporations because of lack of awareness on new Act of CSR. \nIn order to aiming of fulfilling this gap Stratatrix has been initiated CSR Conclave at Visakhapatnam. Perhaps this is the first of its kind of conference in the domain of CSR going to happen at Visakhapatnam with large number of corporations\, civil society organizations and management institutions meeting at one platform for a common goal\, the goal for inclusive growth. We believe that these efforts can make Vizag a truly a “Vibrant Vizag” while meeting the social needs through effective CSR implementation.
